We are hosting a free lunch time seminar on 1st November 2018, 12-2:30pm.
The purpose of the event is to increase health professionals’ knowledge of young carers and young adult carers. Many carers do not consider themselves carers and therefore may not be aware of support that is available to them. This will be particularly true for young carers and young adult carers. The event is specifically aimed at GPs and health professionals with the aim to develop :
- a greater knowledge of the impact of caring on their health
- skills to identify young carers and young adult carers
- awareness of the resources available and how to refer.
