Educating the professionals
One of the key ways that we improve services for carers is to raise awareness – of who carers are, the issues they have to cope with on a day-to-day basis, and what changes practitioners can make to make carers’ lives easier. Here is a taster of some of the work that we’ve been involved with recently.
Callington Road bus petition
An online petition to ask for support for First Direct Bus to re-instate a bus service to Callington Road Hospital in Bristol has been launched. Currently, many carers and service users have to battle traffic to get to and from the hospital, or face a lengthy walk depending on disability from the nearest bus stops on Wells/Bath Roads.
