South Gloucestershire Council has proposed a new draft Alcohol Strategy 2020-2025 to replace the South Gloucestershire Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy 2014-17.
The previous strategy intended to prevent and treat alcohol harms and the new document builds on this work. The latest strategy has been developed from the South Gloucestershire Alcohol Needs Assessment November 2019, which was created by engaging with South Gloucestershire residents, service users, partners and reviewing local alcohol-related data and evidence. It lays foundations to develop a plan to address local needs over the next 5 years, and for partnership working to achieve shared aims and outcomes.
South Gloucestershire Council are keen on hearing your views on this draft before publishing the final version. The draft strategy is open to public consultation from Friday 13th December 2019 until 21st February 2020.
