The Royal Surgical Aid Society is looking for family carers of people with dementia to take part in a new three-day residential support programme.
Taking place in Swindon, carers will come together in small groups to share their experiences of caring in a friendly, supportive environment with others who are going through the same thing.
During the programme carers enjoy some down time, learn more about themselves and about dementia, build confidence in their caring skills, and learn how to find local support and plan ahead.
This is a residential programme, where carers spend three-days/two nights in an hotel and take part in learning sessions, practical sessions and leisure activities.
It is designed and run by skilled and compassionate RSAS staff, who have extensive knowledge of dementia and experience of supporting family carers and people with dementia.
The programme will be running in late November this year and in February 2018.
Please note this programme has now ended.
