A new national data opt-out has been developed for NHS patients.
It provides a secure and accessible way for the public to opt out of their confidential patient information being used for things other than their individual care and treatment. NHS England has developed guidance to help carers through the process of supporting someone they care for to make decisions around the ways their personal data is used.
