On Saturday 8th June 2019 the charity, Friends Of Caswell Thompson, will be hosting a free event, Understanding Prostate Cancer.
The keynote speaker for the day will be Mr Jonathan Aning, Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Bristol Urological Institute.
Though open to all, the event is particularly aimed at men from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities who stand a 1 in 4 chance of developing prostate cancer.
The day is also open to women who may be caring for someone, or simply want to learn more about this condition, and the organisers would also like to encourage health professionals to come and learn how to help improve outcomes for BAME men.
The venue for the day will be, House of Praise, 2 Tudor Road, Easton BS5 6BW and will run from 10am – 4pm with lunch provided.
