NHS England have developed a series of free online courses for carers, in conjunction with carers, health professionals and researchers from Coventry University. They have been piloting the courses across parts of the UK and over 16,000 carers have accessed the courses to date.
They are now running the following in the Southwest region during 2022:
HOPE (Help Overcoming Problems Effectively) Programme:
6-week course running over consecutive weeks, beginning:
19th April- 26th July
- 1st November
This course will cover managing fatigue and sleep, setting boundaries and avoiding burnout, communication and relationships, getting active, creative and eating well, using your strengths to make you happier.
HOPE Programme for parents of autistic children:
6-week course running over consecutive weeks, beginning:
- 7th June
- 13th September
HOPE Programme for Grief, Loss and Change:
6-week course running over consecutive weeks, beginning:
- 7th June
- 6th September
