Healthwatch Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Survey

Healthwatch would like to know about waiting times, standard of support and services, as well as ongoing support across the Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES areas.

The findings, comments and themes will be taken forward by Healthwatch Bristol to a meeting with senior CAMHS managers in May

Consultation: Bristol City Centre Framework

Bristol City Council has drafted a City Centre Framework document for consultation. The Framework sets out aspirations for how people access and move around the city centre. It also covers new development and enhancing public spaces, with a focus on Bristol Shopping Quarter, Old City, Castle Park, North Redcliffe and the gateway into the city from the M32.

Pop-up exhibitions to raise awareness of the consultation are planned as follows:

  • 20 April – St Nicholas Night Market, St Nicholas Market, Glass Arcade, Corn Street 2pm to 5pm
  • 23 April – Citizen Service Point, 100 Temple Street 10am to 1pm
  • 28 April – Junction 3 Library, Baptist Mills Court, Easton 3.30pm to 6.30pm
  • 3 May – Central Library foyer, Deanery Road (TBC)

Women’s Independent Alcohol Support service

Women getting worried about how much they drink can find friendly advice while they have a cup of coffee. The Women’s Independent Alcohol Support service have a drop-in on Friday mornings between 10am-12pm at Boston Tea-Party, 293 Gloucester Road, Bishopston BS7 8PE. You just turn up, look for the booth with a ‘WIAS’ sign, and have a confidential coffee and chat.

Home Library Service

Are you a keen reader? Do you miss being able to get out to your library?

The Home Library Service is run by the Royal Voluntary Service who took the service over from Bristol City Council, and they want to hear from you!

If you are unable to get out, this completely free service could bring books back into your life again! The ‘Home Service’ volunteers collect books from libraries across the city and deliver them to you.

South Gloucestershire Council: Autism Needs Assessment

South Gloucestershire Council and partners are working together to review autism services and wider community aspects related to autism. As part of this they want to understand your experience of autism in South Gloucestershire to develop the recommendations for the autism needs assessment.

The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and will be open until Wednesday 21 March.
