March 17th marks the 6th and final year of the Building Independent Lives Together (BuILT) project.
The Hive Avon’s aim of this project is to work with families of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to enable a greater number of people to live more independent lives. This is done by educating, supporting and promoting the benefits of independence by providing support groups and training sessions for both parents/carers and if appropriate their adult children, helping them to think about and plan for the future.
